Indiecade East 2016: “The Last of the Red Hot Ryus: Male Sexualization and Desire in Games”

I was invited to speak on a panel along with Professor Todd Harper and journalists Gita Jackson (editor: Paste Magazine, MTV News Gaming) and Maddy Myers (editor: The Mary Sue) at IndieCade East 2016 in New York City.

In the panel, “The Last of the Red-Hot Ryus: Male Sexualization and Desire in Games”, we discussed the representation of and characterization of masculine sexuality and sexualization in video games, especially how it intersects with social oppressions such as queerphobia, hypermasculinity, and racism.
